West Horsley Neighbourhood Plan

Proposal for a neighbourhood plan for West Horsley

The Council designated the West Horsley Neighbourhood Area (Clandon and Horsley ward) on 8 September 2014.

West Horsley Parish Council has worked with the West Horsley community and other stakeholders to produce the West Horsley Neighbourhood Plan.

A neighbourhood plan is a document that contains planning policies for a single neighbourhood area. Adopted neighbourhood plans become part of the Development Plan for the borough and are used to determine planning applications within the neighbourhood area they cover, along with the Council's Local Plan and other considerations.

The neighbourhood plan and other submission documents can be found below under 'Consultation documents'.

Consultation on the submitted West Horsley Neighbourhood Plan ran from 23 Jan 2018 to 07 Mar 2018.

Copies of the representations received can be found below under 'Summary of Results'.

Received comments will be provided to an independent examiner, who will make recommendations about whether the plan should proceed to a referendum of residents within the neighbourhood area, whether it should be amended first, or whether it should be refused.

The examiner will consider whether the neighbourhood plan meets the Basic Conditions and other relevant legal requirements, and whether the referendum area should be extended beyond the neighbourhood area (Clandon and Horsley ward).
